An Italian Women aged 47 years has been kept punished in a filthy room for 18 years.The reason for the lady’s punishment of house arrest is that she was accused of becoming pregnant out of her wed-lock.

The Italian Police freed her this Friday, ie, 13th June 2008, and admitted in the hospital where she is in the Psychiatric ward of The Naples Hospital.

The lady’s mother ,who is 80, is being kept under house arrest by the police men for this crime. Her brother and sister, who is a nursery School Teacher is also arrested for this issue.

The woman had been locked up, since 1990, for an unwanted pregnancy and she was rescued by the policemen from filthy room with a bed and a dirty toilet and sink, tin bowls and plastic bottles of water.

To our surprise, the Lady’s son, aged 17, knows nothing about his mother and he is living with his relatives in the town.
